Job Details

• Setting: Emergency Medical Services / Ambulance Services
• Location: York, PA 17403
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• Holiday Coverage: Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays, depending on contract timing
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,000-$1,080
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Service Area: Primarily York County and Shrewsbury County

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of EMS experience required
• Active Pennsylvania state license
• NREMT certification
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• EPIC experience required
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work in urgent, high-acuity situations
• Comfort working in a tobacco- and fragrance-free environment

Responsibilities

• Respond to EMS calls and provide care for urgent and emergent patient conditions
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and carry out appropriate interventions in the field
• Deliver airway management support, oxygen administration, bleeding control, splinting, and immobilization as needed
• Assist with cardiac emergencies, dysrhythmia recognition, and resuscitation efforts within scope of practice
• Operate ambulance equipment safely and maintain readiness for transport and response
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support safe, compassionate care while following established EMS protocols and procedures
