• Holidays: As needed; traveler should be available for major holiday coverage per contract guidelines
• Charting Experience: Epic preferred
• On-Call: Not required
• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 day maximum

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of EMT experience required
• Current Pennsylvania EMT license
• Current NREMT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Previous travel EMT experience required
• Experience using Epic preferred
• Strong knowledge of EMS protocols, emergency medical care, and EMT scope of practice
• Ability to work in a tobacco-free and fragrance-free environment
• Willingness to care for a broad patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Respond to EMS calls and provide patient care in accordance with established rules, regulations, and protocols
• Perform emergency medical functions within the EMT scope of practice
• Safely assess, stabilize, and transport patients as needed
• Operate ambulance and related emergency equipment appropriately
• Document care accurately and communicate patient status changes clearly
• Provide support with airway management, vital signs, CPR, AED use, and other basic life support interventions
• Maintain patient safety during transfers, immobilization, and transport
• Work collaboratively with the EMS team while remaining responsive and calm in urgent situations
