Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Newborn Nursery, Special Care Nursery (SCN), or NICU experience required
• 2+ years of SCN or NICU experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and newborn assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, family-centered care to newborns in the nursery setting
• Monitor infant status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Support families with education, reassurance, and confidence in newborn care
• Collaborate with neonatology and NNP support available 24/7
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow unit protocols
• Work closely with the care team to promote positive outcomes for newborns
• Contribute to a supportive, efficient, and patient-focused environment
