• Position Type: Travel assignment / travel healthcare job
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,470 - $1,580
• Location: Farmington, CT 06032
• Setting: Hospital Central Sterile Supply / sterile processing department
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, starting at 9:00 AM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule Notes: Rotating on-call weekends as needed, with at least one weekend per month and minor holidays required
• Start Date: 10/16/2026

Job Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in a hospital sterile processing, central sterile supply, or surgical instrumentation setting
• Experience with sterilization, decontamination, processing, assembly, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments, supplies, devices, and equipment
• Sterile Processing Technician certification required
• CR-CST or CBSPD certification required
• Experience running Olympus OER washers preferred
• Ability to identify surgical instruments accurately
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to assist with case cart preparation
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Willingness to work rotating on-call weekends and required holidays

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, process, assemble, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Prepare case carts for surgical procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
• Support Central Sterile Supply operations across multiple areas of the department as assigned
• Work collaboratively with the sterile processing and distribution team to maintain efficient workflow
• Operate sterilization and washer equipment according to established protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the hospital sterile processing department
• Ensure instruments and supplies are properly handled to support successful surgical outcomes
• Adapt to floating or reassignment within clinical competence as needed
