• Job Type: Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist
• Setting: Emergency lab / point-of-care testing
• Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84124
• Duration: 13 weeks, with the option to extend up to 26 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,420 - $1,530
• Start Date: ASAP

Job Requirements

• Active MLS or MLT certification through ASCP or equivalent
• Full license required; associate-level credentialing is not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital laboratory environment as an MLT or MLS
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Familiarity with laboratory analyzers and point-of-care testing platforms is a plus
• Ability to work professionally with both lab and non-lab clinical team members
• Strong adherence to CLIA and CAP laboratory safety standards

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, quality control, calibrations, and patient testing
• Complete waived and nonwaived testing accurately and efficiently
• Process specimens, including ordering tests, centrifuging samples, and preparing send-outs
• Maintain lab supplies and ensure routine cleaning and organization of laboratory surfaces
• Support clerical tasks as assigned to help keep operations running smoothly
• Communicate effectively with emergency department staff and other clinical team members
• Follow established laboratory protocols to deliver reliable, timely patient results
