• Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend with call rotation
• Call: Approximately one call shift per month or as required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $2,030
• Location: Portland, Maine 04102

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• NRP required for NICU support
• Experience in tertiary, teaching, or Level 1 trauma settings strongly preferred
• Ability to work with NICU, PICU, pediatric, ED, adult acute care, and critical care patients
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset
• Experience with EPIC and advanced respiratory equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across acute, critical care, and specialty patient populations
• Support patients in NICU, PICU, pediatrics, emergency, adult acute care, and critical care settings
• Manage and operate advanced ventilator and respiratory support equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Respond to changing patient needs in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
• Participate in call rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling as assigned
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a professional, adaptable approach while supporting a broad range of patient acuity levels
