• Schedule: Day shift with every other weekend; block scheduling may be considered

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Float Requirement: May float to other med-surg or telemetry units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience; 1-2 years preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required or obtainable during the first week of orientation
• Experience with neuro assessments, critical thinking, and drain management
• Experience in med-surg, telemetry, trauma, or higher-acuity post-op care preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
• Travel candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for neuro med-surg and telemetry patients
• Care for patients recovering from spinal surgery, trauma, stroke, DKA, renal failure, and other complex conditions
• Perform focused neuro assessments and monitor for changes in patient status
• Manage drains and support post-operative care plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR
• Adapt to floating assignments within med-surg or telemetry units when needed
