• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 2 shifts
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating: May float to similar Med/Surg-type units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• BLS certification required
• Comfortable caring for a broad adult medical patient population
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Ability to titrate Heparin drips required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a travel assignment setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients with a variety of medical diagnoses
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to plan of care
• Titrate Heparin drip when indicated and follow unit protocols
• Collaborate with charge nurses, support staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Assist with IV starts and use available resources when additional support is needed
• Float to other similar units as assigned while maintaining high standards of care
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture on the unit
