• Shift Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Days
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,140 - $2,290
• Location: Portsmouth, VA 23707
• Schedule Notes: Weekend day coverage may be required, including Friday through Sunday coverage

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of CT technologist experience required, including hands-on experience with GE VCT 64 and GE EVO 64
• Active ARRT certification required; CT registry preferred or obtained within the required timeframe
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Virginia state licensure preferred, or required if applicable
• Experience with PACS and EPIC preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-focused care skills
• Ability to thrive in a busy hospital environment and adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures with accuracy, safety, and compassion
• Properly position and immobilize patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer contrast agents and perform IV injections as needed for CT procedures
• Verify all patient and procedural data and complete timeouts according to policy
• Assist radiologists with biopsies, drainage procedures, and other interventional imaging needs using sterile technique
• Maintain a working knowledge of CT imaging systems, including Radiant and PACS
• Participate in on-call coverage and support additional departmental needs as assigned
