• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; typically 07:00 - 19:00
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Patient Ratio: Days 1:2; nights 1:3; weekends 1:2 or 1:3 based on acuity
• Setting: Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred, with willingness to charge on select shifts if needed
• Current BLS and PALS required
• ACLS preferred and may be required during compliance review
• Ventilator experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and dialysis or EVD exposure preferred
• Valid state RN license preferred at time of submission
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a pediatric cardiac stepdown and intermediate care setting
• Monitor and support children with complex medical and surgical conditions, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, nephrology, and orthopedic diagnoses
• Deliver total care for patients requiring ventilator support, trach care, dialysis support, or external ventricular device-related care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, social services, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Support family-centered care while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, clinical quality, and positive patient outcomes
• Assist with charge responsibilities on select shifts as needed
• Contribute to a team-oriented, professional environment focused on accountability and continuous learning
