Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with strong experience in neonatal, pediatric, and critical care respiratory therapy. In this travel respiratory therapy role, you will provide advanced bedside care, assist with specialized procedures, and support a wide range of patients in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment in Portland, OR.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Experience in PICU, NICU, and pediatric floor care required
• Experience with adult acute care patients preferred due to floating expectations
• Valid Respiratory Therapist credential required
• Current BLS required
• NRP required
• PALS required
• Oregon state license preferred at time of submission; pending license may be accepted
• Epic experience preferred
• Experience with Hamilton G5, Hamilton C-1, and 3100-A ventilators required
• Familiarity with ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide, and micro-premie care strongly preferred
• Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills essential

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic respiratory care across NICU, PICU, pediatric, emergency, and adult acute care areas
• Perform airway management, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Deliver and monitor advanced respiratory therapies in accordance with provider orders and department protocols
• Complete diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling, bedside spirometry, and ventilatory assessments
• Support patients with complex respiratory conditions, including cystic fibrosis, respiratory distress syndrome, and postoperative cardiac needs
• Assist with intubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and transport support as needed
• Maintain accurate charting and charge documentation for all services provided
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care
• Train and support team members, students, and new respiratory therapists when needed
• Follow safety, competency, and equipment standards while maintaining a high level of professional accountability
