• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Strong PICU, NICU, and pediatric floor experience required
• Adult acute care experience preferred for floating coverage
• Current BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT credentials required
• Oregon state license preferred at time of submission; pending license may be accepted
• Epic experience required for submission
• Experience with Hamilton G5, Hamilton C-1, and 3100-A ventilators required
• VDR experience preferred
• Background in ECMO, inhaled nitric oxide, micro-preemie care, and cystic fibrosis is highly valued
• Comfortable floating within the hospital and to nearby affiliate locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside respiratory care across NICU, PICU, pediatric, emergency, and adult acute care settings
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including airway management, ventilator management, therapeutic gases, newborn resuscitation, and CPR
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, ventilatory assessments, and point-of-care testing
• Support high-acuity patients including medical, pre-op, and post-op cardiac cases
• Assist with ECMO-related care, inhaled nitric oxide delivery, and advanced ventilator support
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment while following hospital and departmental guidelines
• Document patient care accurately and charge for services provided per policy
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote exceptional patient outcomes
• Train and support new respiratory therapists, students, and other team members as needed
• Maintain competencies, complete required in-services, and adapt to changing patient care needs with professionalism and teamwork
