• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Assignment Notes: Must be available for at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays
• Floating: Required to float within pediatric units, including PICU and NICU
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 days, 1:4 nights

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of pediatric critical care or related experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Critical care nursing experience required
• BLS, NRP, and PALS required
• Epic experience required
• Experience caring for patients with a range of acuity levels, including ventilated patients, preferred
• Strong pediatric dosage calculation skills
• Comfort working in a float pool environment with frequent unit changes
• Ability to provide references and complete compliance requirements before start
• First-time travelers are welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate pediatric nursing care to pediatric, neonatal, and adolescent patients
• Float to units such as PICU, NICU, and other pediatric care areas as needed
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond appropriately to evolving clinical needs
• Administer medications, blood products, and treatments in accordance with best practices
• Support patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, family-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
• Adapt quickly to different pediatric units while maintaining a high standard of care
