Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Histology Technician, Histology Technologist, or Electron Microscopy Technologist
• Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological field preferred/required per role expectations
• Experience with specimen preparation, microtomy, embedding, and tissue processing
• Ability to operate TEM and/or SEM equipment, or strong histology laboratory instrumentation experience
• Current laboratory certification preferred at time of submission
• ASCP-HT or ASCP-HTL certification preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
• Travel experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluation using established histology and microscopy techniques
• Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, mounting, and slide preparation for H&E and unstained specimens
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
• Capture and manage high-quality diagnostic images when working with electron microscopy workflows
• Complete quality control checks and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Support pathologists and laboratory staff with timely, accurate specimen processing
• Follow laboratory safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards
• Assist with supply management and workflow support to help keep the lab running smoothly
