• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

Job Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty required
• Experience in a perinatal, maternal health, or labor & delivery setting preferred
• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification required
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current AWHONN Intermediate or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to complete orientation, onboarding, and unit competency validation

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate bedside nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Care for patients with increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in a labor & delivery environment
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol while monitoring effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, learning needs, and available resources
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team while following established clinical competencies and standards
• Support a positive patient experience and high-quality maternal-fetal care in a busy hospital setting
