Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Los Angeles, CA 90017

Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Los Angeles, CA. Join a busy women’s health team supporting low- and high-risk obstetric patients in Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Perinatal care.

• Location: Los Angeles, CA 90017
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,430 – $2,550
• Setting: Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Perinatal support
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required; floating to Perinatal may be needed
• Additional Notes: First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
• Ability to use external fetal monitoring and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Experience circulating for C-sections preferred/required
• References required with submission
• Must be comfortable working weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
• Must be willing to float to Perinatal when required
• Candidates should be prepared for pre-start EKG testing and required modules

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care as a Labor & Delivery RN in a fast-paced women’s health setting
• Support low- and high-risk obstetric patients across triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum workflows
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist in the operating room and circulate for C-sections when needed
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, anesthesia, respiratory services, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Deliver care to neonates, adolescents, and adult patients in a high-acuity clinical environment
• Maintain accurate charting and communicate effectively using standardized handoff processes
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and assignment-specific compliance requirements
