• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Required as needed by the unit
• Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49007

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent registered nurse experience required
• 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience strongly recommended
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• References required at supervisor level

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, and other clinical support teams
• Respond confidently to changing patient conditions and prioritize care in a high-volume ED environment
• Maintain readiness for shift report and arrive prepared to begin care at the scheduled start time
• Support safe, efficient patient flow while delivering compassionate bedside care
• Follow unit standards and maintain compliance with required documentation, charting, and clinical protocols
