Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology Technology or equivalent approved program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required
• Nuclear Medicine Technology certification through ARRT or NMTCB required
• Current Texas MRT licensure required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills in a patient-centered environment

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Support other imaging technologists as needed to help maintain efficient patient flow
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues, participate in quality assurance activities, and address image processing or archiving concerns
• Follow radiation safety, personnel safety, and patient safety protocols at all times
• Maintain accurate daily logs and complete required testing and documentation
• Adhere to departmental competencies, policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Demonstrate flexibility by working alternate shifts or supporting other campuses when needed
• Provide professional communication and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
