Job Requirements

• Current California RN license
• BLS and NRP certification required
• At least 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
• Experience with Level III or higher NICU care strongly preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Charting system experience required; familiarity with any EMR is acceptable
• Experience caring for neonates and infants, including very premature babies
• Ability to work night shifts and collaborate in a high-acuity neonatal environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonates in a busy Level III NICU
• Monitor and manage infants with surgical, respiratory, and complex medical needs
• Support care for patients requiring cooling therapy and advanced respiratory support
• Assist with procedures such as PICC placement and line management
• Care for patients receiving treatments including bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, and swallow studies
• Manage ventilator support, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and other advanced neonatal equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain safe, compassionate, and family-centered care in a fast-paced NICU setting
• Float as needed to pediatrics, PICU, or nursery based on unit needs
