Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with charting systems required; any charting system accepted
• Experience caring for neonates and infants, including high-acuity and surgical cases
• Ability to work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit environment
• Strong clinical skills in ventilator management and neonatal procedures
• Comfortable working in a team-based, interdisciplinary healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants in the NICU
• Monitor and manage patients requiring respiratory support, cooling therapy, and complex medical care
• Assist with specialized neonatal procedures, including PICC placement, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, swallow studies, and line insertions
• Support infants using advanced respiratory modalities such as CPAP, HFV, and ventilators
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and other healthcare professionals
• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based neonatal nursing care
• Float as needed to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery based on unit needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards for quality, safety, and patient outcomes
