• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend as needed
• Floating: May float to Mother Baby
• Call: No mandatory call
• EMR: EPIC
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 - $2,720

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license
• Current ACLS and NRP certifications
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Strong ability to adapt quickly to a new unit and communicate effectively
• Experience with independent IV starts and lab draws from IV start
• Skilled in accurate vaginal exams and labor support
• Ability to interpret fetal monitor strips according to NICHD guidelines
• Comfort working with antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patient populations
• Experience with OR circulation or second RN support preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to antepartum, laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients
• Support patients through labor, birth, and recovery using strong clinical judgment
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret strips using NICHD guidelines
• Complete IV starts, lab draws, and other bedside nursing procedures as needed
• Conduct accurate vaginal assessments and communicate patient status changes promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support quality outcomes
• Adapt to unit workflow, ask questions when needed, and contribute to a supportive healthcare team
• Float to Mother Baby when needed and assist with patient care across the perinatal setting
• Provide second RN support in the OR when appropriate experience is present
