• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• On-Call: 4–5 call shifts per month
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 1/18/2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520–$1,640
• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah 84124
• Work Environment: Busy surgical department with a broad case mix and a collaborative OR team

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of First Assist experience in an operating room setting
• Current CST or ORT certification
• CSFA or CFA preferred
• Experience supporting a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, GYN, spine, neuro, ortho, robotics, and vascular
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Ability to work scheduled weekend and on-call coverage as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures as a First Assist in the Main OR
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical cases
• Support a wide range of procedures across multiple surgical specialties
• Work closely with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient case flow
• Respond to on-call needs and provide dependable coverage when scheduled
• Follow OR policies, procedures, and best practices to support high-quality patient care
• Adapt to varying case volumes and contribute to a positive team environment
