Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB or VIP, and NIHSS certifications required
• References required with submission
• Copy of required certifications must be included
• Experience with advanced EKG interpretation required, including successful completion of the onsite exam
• Strong critical care skills with comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative hospital team
• Positive, adaptable attitude and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to critically ill ICU/CCU patients
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Manage ventilated patients and support BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula therapies
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV sedation, and continuous paralytics per protocol
• Perform arterial line, central line, and PICC line care and management
• Assist with blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, and emergency medication delivery
• Support care for stroke, renal failure, multisystem organ failure, and hypothermia protocol patients
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs, start and maintain IVs, and assist with phlebotomy as needed
• Maintain infection prevention standards, isolation precautions, and safe use of PPE
• Collaborate with the care team to support chest tube management, wound care, and procedural sedation
