Job Details

• Position: Travel Physical Therapist (PT)
• Setting: Hospital-based acute care with afternoon outpatient coverage
• Location: Chewelah, WA 99109
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, day shift
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 to $2,100
• Hours per Week: 40
• Charting System: Epic preferred
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Work Environment: Critical access hospital with a collaborative therapy team

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required
• Active Washington PT license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings
• Comfort with floating between nearby clinical sites as needed
• Experience with acute care, orthopedics, balance, deconditioning, and neurological rehabilitation preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Strong communication, adaptability, and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of lower-acuity inpatient and outpatient conditions
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care to support mobility, strength, balance, and functional recovery
• Provide acute care physical therapy in the morning and outpatient coverage in the afternoon at a nearby site
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including PT, OT, and SLP professionals
• Use specialized equipment such as hoyer lifts, sara/stedi lifts, parallel bars, therapy stairs, stationary bikes, and NuStep
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, mobility techniques, and discharge planning
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support a positive, team-focused environment while delivering high-quality therapy services
