• Orientation: 60 hours
• Scheduling Notes: No call, every other weekend, with float opportunities to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with electronic charting systems required
• Ability to care for neonates and infants in a high-acuity setting
• Strong clinical skills in Level III/IV NICU care, including ventilator management and line care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare team environment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU
• Monitor and manage infants requiring advanced respiratory support and specialized neonatal interventions
• Support care for surgical neonates and infants as young as 23 weeks gestation
• Perform and assist with NICU procedures such as PICC placement, line insertions, and other clinical interventions
• Care for patients receiving therapies including cooling, bronchoscopy support, LISA, VCUG, MRI, and swallow studies
• Safely manage central lines, arterial lines, UAC/UVC lines, and ventilator-based therapies
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and other support teams
• Float as needed to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery to support patient care across units
