• Position: OR Technician / OR Tech

• Shift: Mid shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,660

Job Requirements

• CBSPD or CRCST certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of sterile processing experience
• Level I Trauma experience required for OR roles
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements
• Current Illinois licensure or applicable state/national certification as required for the role
• Experience with cleaning, assembly, packaging, and sterilization workflows
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical services environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the operating room and central sterile processing to support efficient case flow
• Communicate proactively with OR service leads and staff regarding case cart status, missing instruments, and tray availability
• Provide timely updates and estimated arrival times for carts and trays
• Partner with leadership to prioritize turnovers and anticipate next-day surgical case needs
• Ensure clear handoff of critical information between shifts
• Support outstanding customer service through issue resolution, education, and staff collaboration
• Assist with departmental projects and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with CBSPD, AAMI, and IAHCSMM guidelines, along with all applicable safety policies
• Stay current on aseptic techniques, microbiology fundamentals, and evolving sterilization best practices
