Patient Care Technician Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of patient care experience required
• CNA or PCT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Rehab, acute care, or hospital experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with adult patients preferred
• Floor PCA or CNA background is a plus
• Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, therapy staff, and the interdisciplinary care team

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to adult rehabilitation patients with daily care needs
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation using proper equipment
• Support patient hygiene, grooming, and basic comfort measures
• Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition to the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Utilize patient lifts and workstation on wheels as needed
• Document care activities accurately according to unit standards and EPIC charting procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to help promote patient recovery and independence
