• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,180 - $1,260

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience required
• Valid California CPT state license
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work with patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Strong specimen collection, specimen processing, and data entry skills
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and a positive attitude
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment with variable scheduling

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens using proper venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Receive, sort, and accession specimens for laboratory testing
• Handle and process specimens according to laboratory standards and safety protocols
• Complete computerized tasks related to patient registration, test order entry, and specimen tracking
• Support post-analytic tasks such as report distribution and specimen storage and retrieval
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and safe work area
• Monitor pending work and escalate priority items as needed
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures
• Provide courteous, patient-centered service to individuals from diverse backgrounds
