Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
• Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Job
• Setting: Main Operating Room / Robotics
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with evening call as needed; no regular weekends
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650 - $2,840
• Start Date: 10/26/2026

Job Requirements

• Active New York RN license required
• Current CNOR certification required
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant program
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association preferred
• DaVinci robotics experience required
• Robotic surgery experience in one or more of the following preferred: urology, GYN, colorectal, surgical oncology, thoracic, or general surgery
• Ability to scrub and circulate preferred

Responsibilities

• Function as a skilled RNFA in collaboration with surgeons and the perioperative team
• Support safe, efficient surgical procedures with a strong focus on optimal patient outcomes
• Provide RNFA support during the operative phase of perioperative care
• Perform Operating Room staff RN duties when not assigned in the RNFA role
• Contribute scrubbing and circulating expertise in a busy OR environment
• Assist with robotic surgical cases and maintain high standards of clinical precision
• Participate in on-call coverage and holiday rotations as needed by the unit
