Endoscopy RN Job Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing or GI procedure experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification experience
• Experience with conscious sedation
• Expert IV insertion skills
• Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia
• Experience performing intake for GI procedures

Endoscopy Nurse Responsibilities

• Support patients before, during, and after endoscopy procedures
• Provide clear, compassionate patient education and answer questions
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses throughout the procedural visit
• Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered
• Assist providers during procedures and maintain a safe, efficient workflow
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for endoscopy and GI procedures
• Clean, sterilize, and organize equipment according to clinical standards
• Complete accurate documentation, including patient notes and discharge instructions
• Recover patients safely following sedation or anesthesia
