Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI technologist experience required
• California Radiologic Technologist certification required
• ARRT certification in Radiology required
• ARRT MRI certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• California IV certification preferred prior to start
• Experience with adult acute care, adult outpatient, and MRI procedures preferred
• Strong knowledge of MRI protocols, imaging safety, and image acquisition techniques
• Ability to work a 10-hour day schedule and participate in weekend call as needed
• Compact or applicable state credential must be in hand at submission, if required

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams on adult and geriatric patients
• Operate GE 1.5 Signa and GE 1.5 Optima MRI systems
• Complete a variety of studies including neuro, MSK, abdomen, MRCP, and breast imaging
• Prepare and administer contrast media as appropriate
• Start peripheral IVs and support patient preparation for imaging procedures
• Apply image post-processing techniques to ensure accurate diagnostic quality
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and workflow efficiency throughout each shift
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver timely, dependable diagnostic imaging services
• Follow department protocols and maintain compliance with facility and assignment expectations
