• Schedule: 36-hour weekly schedule, with 48-hour option available; rotating days and nights
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 depending on acuity
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required; three weekends per six-week schedule
• Floating: May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics as needed
• Time Off: Up to 40 hours approved per 13-week contract

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending state license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and invasive lines preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends
• BSN preferred
• Candidate must be comfortable floating within scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, age-appropriate care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac and medical critical care needs
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions based on patient acuity
• Support patients requiring advanced therapies and equipment such as ECMO, VADs, and CRRT
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, blood products, and specialized treatments per unit standards
• Manage ventilated patients, central lines, arterial lines, and other critical care devices
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Float to NICU or Acute Care Pediatrics when needed, within scope of practice
• Uphold high standards of safety, infection control, and family-centered care
