• Shift Pattern: 3x12 or 4x12 nights, traveler’s choice
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required based on staffing needs
• Float: May float to like medical-surgical units as needed
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or compact license in hand at submission
• License pending may be accepted, but Alaska RN license must be in hand for auto-offer
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Strong telemetry skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with rapid response and code team support
• Ability to manage peripheral IVs, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions
• Experience with electronic charting required; Epic experience is a plus
• Must be comfortable working with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6
• References required during the compliance process

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with virtual nursing, CNAs, charge RN, and interdisciplinary support teams
• Support care for patients recovering from colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, ENT, thoracic, and other complex procedures
• Care for patients with medical diagnoses such as diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, dementia, and substance use disorders
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately in the charting system
• Assist with admissions, discharges, patient education, and care coordination as needed
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a busy acute care environment
• Float to similar units within scope when facility needs require
• Deliver compassionate care while helping patients and families feel supported throughout their stay
