Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia RN license accepted before start
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• BLS and NRP required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required or may be submitted pending
• Epic experience required
• Strong clinical experience with ventilator management, IV fluid titration, hemodynamic support, neonatal assessments, and medication calculations
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for critically ill neonates and infants in a busy neonatal intensive care unit
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including HFOV, HFJV, CPAP/BiPAP, NIPPV/NIMV, and iNO
• Perform and assist with admissions, IV placement, lab draws, line care, wound and drain care, and ostomy care
• Support complex neonatal care including whole-body cooling, post-op care, and hemodynamic stabilization
• Assist with procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement
• Float within scope to newborn care, postpartum, pediatrics, and PICU when needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care
