Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state licensure may be accepted if obtained before start
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• BLS and NRP required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required, with pending completion acceptable at submission
• Epic experience required
• Strong experience with high-frequency ventilation, conventional ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, iNO, tracheostomy care, IV drips, and hemodynamic support
• Experience with whole-body cooling, chest tubes, central line care, IV placement, lab draws, and neonatal medication calculations
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality care to neonates and infants with complex medical and surgical needs in a Level III NICU
• Monitor and manage critically ill newborns requiring ventilatory support, IV therapies, and specialized neonatal interventions
• Support admissions, assessments, medication administration, and ongoing plan-of-care coordination
• Assist with procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement
• Care for patients with diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, cardiac anomalies, sepsis, NEC, and neurologic conditions
• Float within scope to related areas such as L&D newborn transition, postpartum newborn care, pediatric infant care, and PICU infant care as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary support teams
