Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state licensure may be considered if in hand before start
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• BLS and NRP certification required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required; pending completion considered for submission
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong neonatal assessment, medication calculation, ventilator support, and IV fluid management skills
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for neonates and infants in a busy NICU environment
• Monitor and manage high-acuity patients with respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, infectious, and surgical needs
• Perform and assist with procedures such as IV placement, lab draws, chest tube care, line care, and airway support
• Support advanced respiratory therapies, including high-frequency ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, iNO, and conventional ventilator management
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube procedures
• Care for infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia, hemodynamic support, ostomy care, post-operative recovery, and wound/drain management
• Float within scope to related areas such as L&D newborn transition, mother-baby/postpartum newborn care, pediatrics, and PICU infant care as needed
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, family-centered care
