• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Schedule Highlights: Weekend coverage required; rotating holiday coverage may apply

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; pending license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required; pending completion may be considered
• Epic charting experience required
• BSN preferred
• Must be comfortable with float expectations within scope of practice
• COVID-19 vaccination not required; flu vaccination required with no exemptions

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled neonatal nursing care for critically ill neonates and infants in a high-acuity NICU
• Monitor and manage complex respiratory support, including high-frequency ventilation, conventional ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and nitric oxide therapy
• Support patients requiring IV drips, hemodynamic support, fluid management, and thermoregulation
• Assist with admissions, IV placements, lab draws, wound and line care, ostomy care, and chest tube management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team on procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, and umbilical line placement
• Care for infants with diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, congenital anomalies, sepsis, NEC, and neurologic conditions
• Float as needed to support newborn care, postpartum, labor & delivery newborn transitions, and pediatric infant care within scope of practice
• Deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care in a dynamic and rewarding travel nurse environment
