Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license may be accepted if in hand before the required start timeline
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required; candidates may submit with it pending
• Experience with Epic preferred/required
• Strong experience with high-frequency ventilation, conventional ventilators, iNO, CPAP/BiPAP, NIPPV/NIMV, and IV drip management
• Ability to support critically ill neonates with complex diagnoses and advanced respiratory needs
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based neonatal nursing care in a busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor and manage infants requiring advanced respiratory support, hemodynamic support, and whole-body cooling
• Perform and assist with admissions, IV placements, lab draws, wound/drain/line care, and ostomy care
• Support procedures including intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement
• Interpret ABGs, calculate neonatal medication dosages, and titrate IV fluids safely and accurately
• Provide care for newborns, infants, and stepdown patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float as needed within scope to newborn, postpartum, pediatric, or delivery areas
• Work scheduled weekends and holidays as required by the travel nurse assignment
