Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license may be accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
• 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required; pending certification may be submitted if clearly disclosed
• Epic experience required
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced neonatal care environment
• Willingness to float within scope to L&D, postpartum/newborn care, Pediatrics, and PICU infant care as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care for neonates and infants in a high-acuity NICU setting
• Manage complex respiratory support, including conventional ventilators, high-frequency ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, NIPPV/NIMV, and iNO
• Administer and titrate IV fluids, drips, and hemodynamic support as ordered
• Perform medication calculations, admissions, IV starts, lab draws, and routine line, wound, and ostomy care
• Assist with procedures such as intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement
• Care for infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia, post-operative monitoring, and advanced neonatal stabilization
• Support families and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality care
• Float within scope of practice to newborn transition care in Labor & Delivery, newborn care in postpartum, and infant care in Pediatrics or PICU
