Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be active prior to start date
• At least 2 years of recent PCU nursing or comparable specialty experience required
• Ventilator experience required
• ICU, telemetry, and tracheostomy experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to care for ventilated patients in a pulmonary step-down setting
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort with a 1:3 patient ratio

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Progressive Care Unit RN in a pulmonary progressive care environment
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients and support respiratory-focused interventions
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for medically complex adult and geriatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, timely patient care
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, document accurately in Epic, and respond to changes in condition
• Support telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and tracheostomy care as needed
• Float within scope to support unit needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety
