• Location: San Pedro, California 90732
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: Mid shift, 5x8-hour evenings (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,300 - $1,400
• Call Requirement: Yes; includes weekday call and rotating weekend call
• Float Requirement: May float to a nearby sister facility
• Orientation: Includes required onboarding and module completion

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of OR Tech or Surgical Technologist experience
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Compact or valid state license required at submission, if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrument processing, and decontamination procedures
• Experience supporting orthopedic, general surgery, urology, bariatrics, and robotics procedures
• Ability to work rotating call and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Willingness to float when needed
• References required during compliance
• RTO requests must be submitted up front

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and equipment for a variety of procedures
• Support surgeons and the OR team during cases with efficient, attentive scrub support
• Maintain sterile field integrity and follow all safety and infection control standards
• Assist with room turnover, instrument care, and scope reprocessing support as needed
• Handle specialty equipment including robotic systems and advanced surgical technology
• Provide dependable support for high-volume surgical days with an average of 25-35 cases
• Respond to call coverage and weekend rotation requirements
• Adapt to a dynamic surgical environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Float to nearby sister facilities when assigned
