Overview

This Travel Registered Nurse opportunity is ideal for an experienced Med/Surg RN who enjoys fast-paced acute care nursing, teamwork, and the flexibility of a 13-week assignment. You’ll support the 3rd and 5th floor med/surg units, use MEDITECH, and help deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric population.

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Associate degree in nursing required
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience preferred
• BLS and NIH certification required
• MEDITECH experience preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to float as a second nurse, to telemetry, and to the ED as needed
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients across assigned units
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in MEDITECH
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
• Support unit needs by floating to telemetry or the ED when required
• Maintain a professional, flexible, and family-oriented approach to care
