Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a healthcare-related field
• At least 5 years of healthcare IT experience focused on systems integration and interoperability
• At least 3 years of Epic Bridges experience
• Epic Bridges Certification required
• Experience implementing and supporting HL7 interfaces in production healthcare environments
• Experience with FHIR APIs, SOAP/web services, and interface engines
• Strong technical documentation, data mapping, and testing experience
• Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Epic FHIR/API experience and Epic Inpatient certification are strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support Epic Bridges interfaces using HL7 v2.x messaging standards
• Configure and implement Epic FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR applications, and Epic web services
• Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into integration specifications
• Lead interface design sessions, technical workshops, and interoperability workstreams
• Provide advanced support for production interfaces and API solutions
• Investigate and resolve complex integration, workflow, application, and data quality issues
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for recurring issues
• Monitor interface performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, test plans, and operational procedures
• Coordinate testing and implementation activities across technical, operational, security, and vendor teams
• Support compliance with security standards and healthcare data protection requirements
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide mentoring and technical guidance to analysts and project teams
