Telemetry Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current hospital telemetry RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to work in the assigned state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Post-op CABG experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, proactive mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for telemetry and med-surg patients in a busy acute care environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 4-5:1
• Perform IV starts and Foley starts as needed
• Assist with chest tube removal and other common unit procedures
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, sitters, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence
