Job Requirements

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Prior travel respiratory therapist experience required
• Experience in a Level II trauma setting required or strongly preferred
• Active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to provide care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Flu vaccine required; exemptions or declinations may be allowed per policy

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across adult med/surg, adult critical care, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Support patients with a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including trauma-related cases
• Perform respiratory treatments, airway support, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management as needed
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal respiratory interventions
• Work with advanced respiratory equipment, including jet and oscillatory ventilation, NIV systems, nitric oxide delivery, and point-of-care blood gas analysis tools
• Interpret ABGs and respond quickly to changing patient needs
• Collaborate with respiratory services, rapid response teams, and interdisciplinary staff to promote excellent patient outcomes
