Job Details

• Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Employment Type: Travel assignment
• Setting: Hospital / acute care
• Location: Odessa, TX 79761
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/20/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,500 - $1,620
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Charting System: Cerner preferred

Job Requirements

• Current RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Travel respiratory therapist experience required
• Experience in trauma or high-acuity hospital settings preferred
• Experience with Level II trauma and/or Level III NICU environments preferred
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and a block-style schedule when needed
• Experience with Cerner preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Support patients with a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including critical care and trauma-related needs
• Perform and assist with ventilator management, weaning, and troubleshooting
• Administer and monitor therapies such as nebulizers, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and aerosol treatments
• Assist with intubation support, airway management, and emergency response procedures
• Collect and interpret ABGs and support point-of-care blood gas analysis
• Provide care in NICU and pediatric settings as needed
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
