Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
• Setting: Acute care hospital with combined hospital and outpatient ultrasound coverage
• Location: Eureka, CA 95501
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour evenings
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,280
• Call Requirement: At least once per week
• Float Requirement: Between the hospital and outpatient center
• Schedule Style: Mix of weekdays and weekends

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience required
• Prior travel ultrasound experience required
• Current ARDMS credentials and applicable specialty registries preferred/required based on assignment needs
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Ability to perform a wide range of general sonography, vascular ultrasound, and women’s health exams
• Comfortable working with neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Strong adaptability and willingness to support changing call, coverage, and scheduling needs within reason
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to patient comfort
• Provide coverage across both hospital imaging and outpatient ultrasound locations as needed
• Complete a variety of studies including abdominal, vascular, women’s health, pediatric, and general imaging exams
• Support a daily caseload that may vary depending on patient volume and coverage needs
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality imaging services
• Maintain professional standards while adapting to occasional schedule adjustments and call coverage
• Document exams accurately and efficiently using the facility’s charting workflow
• Deliver compassionate care to patients across all age groups
