Job Requirements

• 2 years of recent Psych Tech experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Associate degree in Psychology or Sociology required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with psychiatric patients
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and clinical support to inpatient psychiatric patients in a behavioral health setting
• Assist patients with daily living activities, social engagement, and psychiatric rehabilitation under RN direction
• Communicate effectively with patients to help ensure access to needed services and support
• Report any changes in patient condition promptly to the RN
• Participate in rounds and group therapy activities as needed
