Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Alaska, or willingness to begin the licensure process within 24 hours of acceptance
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Recent experience with postpartum care, couplet care, and circulating for C-sections
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Ability to float to other departments as needed
• Permanent residence must be 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care in labor, delivery, postpartum, couplet care, and triage
• Support mothers, newborns, and families throughout the birth process
• Assist with and circulate for C-sections when needed
• Monitor maternal and newborn status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure smooth workflow in a busy unit with approximately 80 deliveries per month
• Maintain flexibility to float to other departments based on unit needs
• Deliver patient-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented hospital environment
