Job Requirements

• Board certified in Neurosurgery; board eligible candidates are not accepted
• Minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience required
• Active Michigan medical license required; IMLC may be considered with a 100% clean background
• ACLS required
• Must have a clean background with no actions
• Must be able to perform both spinal and cranial neurosurgery cases
• NPDB self-query required within one month of submission

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour neurosurgical call coverage for a hospital-based patient population
• Perform inpatient rounding and manage daily admissions
• Evaluate and treat emergent neurosurgical consults in a timely manner
• Perform emergent surgeries as needed
• Deliver comprehensive care for both spinal and cranial neurosurgical cases
• Collaborate with on-site imaging, laboratory, procedure, operating room, and APP support teams
• Manage an average of 5-10 inpatients per day
